I'm just a guy with a little bit of "hands-on" experience over a broad spectrum. I've done construction work, built trail, remodeled homes, been an auto mechanic, cook, dishwasher, garbage man, delivery driver, truck driver, chainman (surveyor), gardener, dairyman, big brother, computer builder (before the Dell days), and at last an Engineer. I am expert at nothing but competent in a few things.
Originally from North Idaho (a place that must not be confused with South Idaho), I currently live near Vancouver, Washington (US) with my wife and 2 kids.

I, too, left the gas guzzler world behind years ago. My first cars were old VW bugs and busses. I'm not sure how they'd stack up today in gas mileage, but back then they were eco-friendlier than most other cars.
I also walked alot, and still do.
