How do you install network adapters?
If you are installing a desktop network adapter, you want to power off your computer and make sure it is unplugged from its power source. Once you open the tower, you are going to plug the adapter into a free PCI slot. Once it is securely in, you will want to screw it into the tower and then make sure the antenna is upright. Then, you can boot up the computer, once it is running, the computer will recognize the new hardware. You can install the drivers and begin to surf wirelessly.
If you are installing a notebook network adapter, you should be able to just pop it into the slot on the side of your notebook. Once it is in there, your computer will register the new hardware, and you will be able to install the drivers and software accompanying it.
