Are you running out of idea's for your Hubs?
I'm running out of idea's. Are you?
I signed up to hub pages just ten days ago, and I decided that I would like to take part in the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge. What a challenge, I must say! This hub is my tenth hub and I am writing it on the tenth day after signing up and I believe I am doing pretty well thus far.
However, there always comes a time when a writer must reach a stage in which he or she is stumped for idea's that can be turned into articles. I am a little stumped at times and that is why I decided to write an article about not having any idea's for my articles.
You see, the main problem (for me) is that I have got plenty of articles and idea's for articles, but they are not all suited for hub pages and / or I don't want to submit them here at hub pages. The reason for this is that the articles in question I have specifically written for one of my several niche blogs and I am not one to create duplicate content. I believe that every article should only be written once by any author. So, as I mentioned in my make a few extra dollars - 30 hubs in 30 days article (the first of my hub pages articles), I am in fact an obsessive compulsive writer and at this very moment I have exactly 167 unpublished 100% unique articles stashed away in the notepad on my iphone, begging to be published! BUT........... there is not one article amongst the whole 167 articles that I want to publish here.
Therefore, I am forced to put my some what disorganized mind to work and think of some new idea's for articles that I can publish here at hub pages, or I can continue just writing about whatever topic that comes to mind at any given time, like this topic.
So for some of us, the fact that idea's come to our minds a little quicker than others does not necessarily mean that the idea's are particularly suitable to be published here at hub pages. I am lucky in that I have the ability to write about any given topic at any given time, and the best part is - I don't even have to write a draft or anything. I just simply type the words as they come in to my mind, editing as I go. This particular ability can be learned by anyone and everyone and the easiest way to learn this ability is to just write and write and read and write regardless of whether or not you intend to publish the articles or not. Practice is the only way a writer can become a better writer and reading well written articles is the best way to improve your own articles.
I sometimes like to read badly written articles just to remind myself of what a badly written article looks like and I often analyze these badly written articles just to see whether or not I would be able to take the article and turn it into something that a reader would want to read. It is pretty easy to do and can give you some great idea's for future articles as well.
So if you are at the stage where you are running out of idea's for your articles, you need to just sit down at your PC or get a notebook and just write about the first thing that comes into your mind (even if it is only 30 or 40 words). The reason you need to do this is because practice makes writers better at writing.
You never know, those short 30 or 40 word articles could potentially become a 400 word article at some time in the future.
