Phone Work From Home-Hourly Pay Plus Bonuses No Selling or Appointment Setting
69Everyone Wants It
Everyone wants to work from home. Truthfully most everyone wants a computer to work for them while they sit back and rake in the money. I do too. I would be crazy not to. But I don't know how to do that. If I did I wouldn't be sitting here typing. I'd be in Europe or Asia or someplace else having a fabulous time.
I wish I could tell you six different ways to make money while staying home but I only know one from personal experience. That's not to say there aren't many more. There are. But I only have personal knowledge of one.
When I had a sever injury I was laid up in bed for about 9 months and then I couldn't get around for about 2 more years. Needless to say I had to work from my home and luckily I found an ad for just that.
The easiest job to get is cold calling. Don't reject it out of hand. Hear me out please. This can be easy work depending on how tough you are. If your tough and can take rejection then this is a possibility for you. If your really tough and aggressive you can make a descent living for yourself.
The best of these for me was calling for donations for a charity thrift store. I'm not cut out for telephone marketing. I can't sell. I'm not aggressive enough and not thick skinned enough either. Cold calling to sell or set appointment is the hardest kind of cold calling. Some people are really good at it and if you are you can make a lot of money. It is not for the faint hearted. I couldn't do it. You can find these jobs in the help wanted ads. They are practically the only ones still using print media for their want ads.
You can do survey work but it takes a lot more effort because you have to keep people on the phone and interested for a much longer time. Most people don't want to be bothered. That's why there is a no call list. I suspect that the people who aren't on it just never got around to signing up. People are a little more co-operative when and if you can convince them you're not selling anything. Usally the survey company makes the surveys too long and people get tired of doing it befor the end. Maybe on purpose. Then you don't get credit. I never really made any money doing this. Again look in the want ads if your interested.
Calling for donations for charities is part time work. It takes about 4 hour a day and you usually receive minimum wage or just a little more. If your good at touching people to give something you can make bonus money. Some of the people I knew made a very good paycheck. Especially considering the time spent.
Usually what your asking for is used items, clothes small appliances, toys, jewelry etc. Any item still in good condition. If you could sell it at a yard sale you can give it to a thrift store.
They give you a script to learn and if you use it you can do pretty well. You'll get to know the people in your area after awhile and it won't be as hard. You can skip the really nasty people and believe me there are some really mean people out there. That's where you have to be tough. You can't take anything people say personally.
You are expected to work 2 hour in the morning and 2 hours at night. There are around 200 people to call every day. You call them all in the morning and then call the ones you didn't reach again at night. You also have to call and remind people to put their things out and mark them with the charities name or they can't be picked up and you won't get credit. You have a quota to meet. If your not getting any donations they can't continue to pay you.
This is not the glamorous career you were hoping for. Maybe that computer system is out there that will eventually let you sit back and rake in the cash but I haven't found it. And I've been looking. What this is, is a job you can do to help make ends meet. Some people make a load of money doing it but not me.
If your interested, call some charities, the ones that have thrift stores, and ask if they have any openings for telephone solicitors. They will ask you if you have experience and since you've probably been talking on the phone all your life you can say yes. You've probably ask hundreds of people for things over the phone. Just say you've worked for a research group or your church. Make something up because, It's a dog eat dog world and if they have a waiting list they're going to take the person with the most experience first.
They also put ads in the newspaper when they don't have anyone on the waiting list. They usually have some turnover, though not what you might think. Once they get a group that wants to stay they may be there for years. I've known people who have worked with the same company for 15-20 years.
If your are unable to work outside the home, like I was, perhaps this will help you. I did this work for 2-3 years. I didn't get rich but we couldn't have survived without it. Good luck.
