HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY SHIRLEY ANDERSON or is it your 27th? You may not have your famous spot above but your famous to me.
*******************Happy Birthday Shirley:) I know its late, but ill make sure all the baloons are up and party poppers, food and drinks will all be ready for you nice n early next year:)************************
William, I knew today would be a good day for your fav stars!!, Im glad to have bought back so many memmories and thanks for your contributions as always;)
Dottie, well remembered;) I think its 28:) and we are all famous,,in our eyes;)
Hey, thx Dottie and Compu-Smart! I haven't decided how old I am yet. I admitted to 30, but I only said I was as old as that because I was following C.S.'s advice about saying I'm older so I look younger.
Shirley, you know your only as old as the pwerson you feel, so come on over for a feel!;)lol
I hope and im sure you had a fantastic time! See you here next year;)
Yes!, its ture, telling everyone your much much older is a great trick, that actually works!!
Hey Comp, I heard what you said! LOL Shirley is coming over, didn't she tell you the plan? I'll let her explain. Bye Bye Have a good day.
Mmm , I have not knowledge of this and Im a curious Kitty now!!:)
Curiosity never killed the cat. You'll have to wait for Shirley. Be patient now. I don't want to get into any Barney Rubble you know. LOL
I did see something for you though from Dayzeebee on this hub:
http://hubpages.com/hub/They-HUB-Among-Us
BTW Shirley, how are you doing on the sale of your teeth and liver? Just curious.
Dottie, Barney rubble lol, i love it!!
and lol@ above!!
I have just been to the hub in question and i am so touched!! Thanks Dottie Dottie,, you really are soooo nice, i had to name you twice:)
Dottie - I've listed my teeth and liver on eBay, but people want pictures. I can stick the camera in my mouth, but getting a good shot of my internal organs has proven to be more of a challenge.
C.S.- Dottie and I are coming to see you! Actually, you're putting us up while we're in London, but we'll pay our way by being entertaining and feeding the kittys. Dottie's selling her house and I'm selling the aforementioned teeth and liver to finance our big trip over the pond to see a Beatles event.
Hope you don't mind.
Hey, Shirley, LMAO!! you are soo funny!!,,,,,I have been running around tirdying up this place waiting for your arrival and virtual friends becoming a reality sounds scary and exciting!! I have never experienced this transition before but it sounds good 2 me;)
Yay, thx C.S! We'll let you know our arrival time once we get our itinerary together, which will be after we sell our homes and bodies (okay, that didn't sound good, I'm meant teeth and liver, arms/legs, whatever).
Should we bring anything?
Shirl.....don't forget your antihisamines, decongestants and bronchodilator if your allergic to cats.
Lucily Dottie, I am not allergic to cats. I may need to take dentures and an artificial liver, tho. Don't think I have enough time for a liver transplant (yikes!) Can you get portable livers?
Your in luck Shirley, they do have cartridges filled with immortalised liver cells which can be placed in a standard kidney dialysis machine. ... Hope this helps!
I've got somewhat of a problem too. When I was young I glued my cat to a rocking chair. I just hope for Comps sake I've outgrown that addiction.
Hi, Shirley, , Please make sure you bring ALL your organs!! lol
Hi, Dottie,lol,, i used to be cruel to cats when i was younger and did not know any better but i have and still make up for it everyday with my kitty and also support the Blue Cross as much and often as i can as they have been, and are soo helpful!!
I also dont have a rocking chair so Im sure you'll be fine;)
The kettles on, the 6 packs and wine are on ice;)
WOOHOO!! We're good to go, Dottie. At least we will be as soon as all our cash is in hand. We should hurry, I'm thirsty and CS has some cold ones waiting.
THX, COMPU-SMART.....we'll be there asap.
I laughed long and hard about you glueing your poor cat to a rocking chair, Dottie. That's hilarious!! Poor kitty....what ever possessed you to do it?
Shirley,
Here's the update on sale of my house: Realtor found a buyer. Buyer wanted to know exactly where my property line is. So now we're just waiting for the neighbors to cut the grass!
I thought long and hard about why I would do such a thing to my poor kitty. This is the only thought that came to mind. My maternal grandparents were from Canada. So I was wondering, since you're from Canada, do you know of anything that could be in my Canadian bloodline that could make me be so cruel?
I thank God Comp doesn't have a rocking chair!
Dottie - there is only one way that you could have gotten such sadistic tendencies from your Canadian bloodline....I should not say it publicly tho.
Um, what province were your grandparents from?
Sweet!!
Im sensing a lot of love in here!
See you all sooon....ishh!!
I'm sensing I'm about to open a can of worms Shirley (St. Johns Newfoundland) so there you go. I've never been afraid of worms!
St. Johns Newfoundland!!? Hmm!
Ive never been a fan of worms, especially cans full, and I'm now intrigued!!
Compu-Smart, you're so cute.
Dottie - a Newfie, eh? Nope, that's not the area I was targeting. Newfies are the friendliest, most welcoming folks in the world. They are the brunt of internet jokes that question their intelligence, but no black marks there. They talk funny though, sort of a midwestern U.S.A. mixed with Irish. A lot like the accents in the movie, Fargo.
HOORAY!
A Goofy Newfie plus a Crazy Bostonian does not equal a Cruel person. So glueing the cat to the rocker was NOT cruel.
You can relax now Compu-Smart, your kitty or kitties will be safe:)
And Shirley you tell me what part of this internet joke questioning my intelligence is not intelligent, it's brilliant! (click link and scroll down a bit till you see "newfie job interview".
http://newfiejoke.blogspot.com/2008/04/newfie-job-
I listened to how they speak in the movie Fargo. I did not detect an accent. So perhaps they speak similiar to the Bostonians. There are tons of Newfies in the Boston suburb in Chelsea. That's where my mother grew up.
Here is the Boston accent explained by Ben Afflect
http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=hi_OSHrBgM4&feature=
Now I know your laughing Shirley but Compu-Smart you better not be laughing. I read your F-Cookie Hub. I couldn't find it again to WARN Shirley incase you offered us cookies with the drinks waiting our arrival. You can post it here and warn her but you can't fool this goofy crazy intelligent girl! Compu-Smart are you gonna let Shirley eat the cookies, 2 per day?!!! LOL Are you goofy and crazy too? Just curious!
Dottie:

Page not foundSorry, the page you were looking for in the blog Newfie Jokes! and all da' FUNNIEST pictures! does not exist.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been to Boston area a couple of times....each time was there for a week and it took me 2 to drop the accent. I was saying everyday words such as, 'horse' in a way that sounds funny to us. Your neck of the woods, and down through New England is gorgeous! The last time I was there, we outran a hurricane to get home.
Cookies? Cookies? I like cookies, where's mine, can't I have one? Wait a minute, it sounds like I don't really want one.
Okay, my turn to be curious, C.S.
LMAO@U2!
I have to admit I'm not very computer literate. I cannot give you the whole link without it breaking. And I'm pressed for time.
I just looked at some of compu-smart's links and all I can say is "OH MY ACHING BACK", I think I'd rather be prego!
Gotta Run!
Dottie, lol, thanks for the link! i have scrolled down and could not find as i have just woke up, so i bookmarked and will look later! properly:)
Congrats on your recent pregnancy and DONT run too fast!!
I just had to stop by compu-smart to clear this up before I disappear for a few days. So much going on here!
I AM NO MORE PREGNANT THAN YOU ARE! LMBO!
My life is being sucked away from me right now. See you around in a few days, I HOPE! Dottie (the goofy newfie or crazy bostonian, take your pick! just don't call me CRUEL)
Dottie, Sorry i misread too fast!! Awww! sorry to hear life sucks your end at the moment! i hope im not assuming again!?
I hope u come back fitter than a fiddle,,,, I know you are far from cruel!, crazy! yeah! but cruel, no:)
William F. Torpey says:
5 weeks ago
Arthur Ashe and Jake LaMotta were at the top of the heap in the sports world. Ashe was not only a great tennis player, but a well respected civil rights leader. I always think of my grandfather, Shamus O'Brien, when LaMotta's name comes up. He was born just about the time Shamus was winding down his career. Anybody who can out-box Sugar Ray Robinson, as LaMotta did, has to be really good. I had great respect for David Brinckley, who was a real newsman back when we had real news on television.
