I did build my foundation before my kit even arrived so I would be ready to start building the shed when it came. I was able to get a look at the manual online which gave me some guidelines to follow for getting the shed foundation ready. Most of the Arrow Shed Kits have foundation kits to fit your specific size shed. This is very convenient and time saving. I decide to put a concrete slab but the wood foundation is excellent as well.

I was able to get my shed up over the weekend with a little help from my wife. I didn't even need any special tools, just the basics. If you don't have an electric screwdriver, you may want ot borrow one from a neighbor or friend, it just made the job much faster.

Getting the most from your shed and protecting the manufacturers warranty starts with having a good, solid foundation. Wood foundation or concrete slab, its up to you. Just make sure that it is square and level, very important. On some of the bigger sheds Arrow recommends a strong foundation such as concrete.

Floor Frame Kits are available which really make life easy. The floor kit is a steel frame that goes on top of whatever base you have chosen. This make building your shed easier, keeping it square. It also makes life a whole lot easier when anchoring your shed to the foundation , which you MUST DO!

Anchor your Shed! If you don't anchor your shed to the foundation, your shed will most likely suffer structural damage during high winds or any severe weather. This will void your manufacturers warranty. Anchor kits are available for wood or cement foundations and are very easy to install.
